Wrap Instructions
1
Unfold your Baby Wrap and find the center (or label). Place your wrap around your waist and wrap around to your back.
2
Cross the fabric behind your back and bring each side up and over your shoulders to the front. Fan the fabric over your back and shoulders so that your baby’s weight will be evenly distributed.
3
Place both sides of the fabric underneath the front section. Make sure both sides are pulled down snuggly over your shoulders.
4
Cross the fabric again over your middle and bring around your waist to your back.
5
You may tie a double knot at your back, or bring the ends around to the front again and tie them in the front or on one side.
6
To insert your baby into the Baby Wrap, place your baby on one shoulder.
7
Slip your baby’s leg inside the cross/shoulder panel that is closest to your body. Gently pull the foot through.
8
Rotate your baby onto your other shoulder and repeat the same steps to insert second leg on the other side.
9
Pull and spread the fabric to cover your baby’s buttocks and shoulders.
10
Insert both of your baby’s legs under the front section and pull this section up over his bottom and back until the fabric covers the entire back. For young babies, bend their knees so that their legs are up in the “froggy” position, sitting inside the front fabric section. This position is proven to strengthen their hip muscles, helping to prevent hip dislocation.
11
For babies who need head support, you may tuck baby’s head under one of the cross/shoulder sections.
12
Your baby is comfortable and secure and you are ready for action!
13
To take your baby out of the wrap, gently push the front section down slightly, opening the cross/shoulder sections. Slide your baby out from under the fabric, supporting him firmly by the rib cage, under the arms.
14
Lift vertically until he is fully released.
